for people of all ages to grow in their understanding of God and

Meeting
one Saturday morning, every 5 or 6 weeks, the goal of this
team is to paint the public areas of Good Shepherd.

immediate versus long range physical plant needs of Good Shepherd.
Develop capitol project plans for approval by Council. Stewardship The Stewardship Team is responsible for the raising of funds for ministry and for the gathering of information concerning the skills and interests of people of the congregation to be engaged in ministry. Communication The Communications team is responsible for publicizing the programs of Good Shepherd throughout the greater Glenville NY community, and informing congregation members about activities and mission efforts. Contact Jon Mesh for more information. Audit Committee The Audit Committee will examine the financial and other records of the church as needed in order to assist in safeguarding the assets of the congregation. The committee will prepare a report of it's findings by March 31 for the preceding calendar year. This report will contain appropriate recommendations based upon the audit findings and will be presented to the church leadership for review. Contact Steve Arthur for more information. | Fellowship Fellowship has 5 subcommittees under its umbrella. The five subcommittes are
the Coffee Hour, sponsored by the Kitchen Crew, Flying Solo, Ladies'
Night Out, Prayer Tree and Women of the ELCA. There is no membership
in any of these groups, they all run with an open door policy and
welcome everyone with smiles and open arms. So if you feel like
joining in on any of our events, please feel free and share some

Social Ministry Committee is devoted to the growth of the ministry of
Jesus Christ through service to others. We seek to provide
opportunities for people to practice sharing God's love and blessing
through volunteer opportunities and fundraising events. This team
supports many in-house, local, and worldwide efforts to feed the
hungry, clothe the naked, comfort the sick, visit the lonely, and care
for the weak. We meet monthly, and have many wonderful programs going

SUNSHINE Our Sunshine Ministry volunteers bring comfort into the lives of members who have been sick, hospitalized, had a baby or experienced the death of a loved one. This past year Sunshine has mailed many cards, delivered pies or other goodies, made baby quilts, remembered our homebound with gifts and cards at holidays and sent encouragement cards to those whose day needed a little brightening. Contact Sue Gillespie for more information. Health Ministry Health care was an integral part of the early Christian Church. After years of absence, the church is again reclaiming it's role for integrating healing within faith communities. In accordance with the church's mandate to preach, teach, and heal, Good Shepherd has developed a two pronged approach for meeting the health/wellness needs of its parishioners. HEALTH CABINET The Health Cabinet is a group of members interested in congregational health matters which meets monthly. They provide monthly blood pressure screenings and periodic health classes. They are responsible for maintaining Good Shepherd's status as an Official Red Cross Shelter. This group is also responsible for providing First Aid kits and for providing the necessary health and safety classes, such as CPR instruction.The Health Cabinet was instrumental in obtaining an AED. They maintain a library of health related topics and support two osteoporosis groups. To help foster a sense of community among senior parishioners, the Whimsical Wednesday program was begun: Whimsical Wednesday - a monthly luncheon and entertainment program for seniors PARISH NURSE Parish Nursing is the intentional integration of the practice of faith with the practice of nursing so that people can achieve wholeness in, with and through the community of faith in which the nurse serves. The Parish Nurse is a professional RN with additional education in a Parish Nurse program. The Parish Nurse operates autonomously and collaboratively with the pastoral team as well as the Health Cabinet. Activities can range from hospital and home visits, to facilitating support groups, to patient advocacy, to implementing (along with the Health Cabinet) a variety of classes and workshops.
