Pastor Deron

I am a life long New Yorker and was raised by a loving family in Niagara Falls.  My family and home parish gave me the wonderful gift of faith.  Faith in our God, and most importantly the faithfulness of our God. The joy of my ministry is reminding each that we are not alone in our journeys; God is with us.  The faithfulness encourages me to share that realization with all people.

There are many things about Good Shepherd I appreciate, but the two that excite me is how we care for one another and our rejoicing in the gifts God
has given us.

My first degree was from Niagara University in Elementary Education and Social Studies.  I was half way through a graduate program when I finally responded to a call to ordained ministry.  I was trained at and graduated from Trinity Lutheran Seminary in Columbus, OH.

In addition to God's faithfulness one other constant throughout my life has been the gift of music.  Piano and organ music have played a major role in shaping my faith and how I serve this church.  Share that joy with me as I play the traditional Lutheran hymns on our pipe organ every Sunday at our 8:30 service.

I started my ministry in 1998 at Holy Trinity in Skaneateles, New York.  In 2007 I responded to the call at Good Shepherd.

I'm blessed with a  wonderful son named Lucas, in his first year at BH-BL High School, who keeps me running to Taekwondo and black belt competitions.

My son and I also live here in Glenville. We look forward to many more faithful years serving our community through Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.

I hope you'll take time to visit us in person and see what a wonderful place Good Shepherd is.
