Welcome

Good Shepherd Lutheran Church

is a community of faith that shares a passion for making positive changes in the world. We are located in New York State's capital region, and easily accessible from Glenville, Burnt Hills, Clifton Park, Niskayuna, Scotia, Schenectady and Saratoga.
Please stop in to worship with us any Sunday morning.
Good Shepherd is a congregation of The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA)

Every year since 2005, Good Shepherd has offered a scholarship in honor of our former Minister of Music and Worship, Paul Crowder.  The Paul D. Crowder Memorial Scholarship is awarded annually to either a College Student or a High School Graduate who is interested in studying Music or Theater Arts, and we encourage all those interested to begin applying now.  Applications and Re-applications are available in the office.  Paul was a tremendously gifted man, who graced Good Shepherd with his piano playing and leadership in the 1990s.  Tax-deductable donations may be made at any time to encourage study in music or theater arts.  Any donations should be made to the Paul David Crowder Memorial Scholarship Fund, and addressed to Good Shepherd.

All qualified applicants must:

1)      Be a High School graduate or equivalent by June 2013.

2)      Be accepted or enrolled in an accredited undergraduate institution of higher learning with a declared major in Music or Theater Arts (Or equivalent program).

3)      Be a member or related to a member of The Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, Glenville.  Relatives include spouses, children, grandchildren, nieces or nephews.

Previous winners are eligible to reapply.  Each year, the award is for at least 10% of the available funds.  Applications are taken until March 30,2013.

Any questions, feel free to contact Pastor Deron or myself (399-3930) for further information.
